This depiction of the bush potato, or yam, by Maureen, is shown in a region known as Wailalimba, near an outstation of the same name. This is a bush food relatively easy to find because of the distinct leafy growth near to the ground. It is similar in size and shape to the sweet potato, and is cooked in hot coals before eating. Maureen shows Wailaimba at the centre, and women with digging sticks out gathering the food. The women are depicted as 'U'shapes, the track they leave on the ground when sitting.
