This is a water, cloud, and flying ant dreaming, situated near Nyirripi in the Tanami Desert, over 300ks north-west of Alice springs. The short strokes are the flying ants, which hatch out in profusion after rain.
The wavy lines and red circles represent the travels of the flying ant ancestors, and the sites formed where they lingered. The white circles are the rain-forming clouds.
Ngapa is water in the Warlpiri language.
